GOLDEN RULES FOR PRINTER CARTRIDGES

1.    Always store inkjet cartridges in the upright position. (Ink cartridges have an ink sponge inside them and if left upside down can dry out and damage the cartridge....)

2.    Never remove an empty cartridge from a printer unless you have a new cartridge to install immediately. Most printer cartridges have print heads, if left without a cartridge installed,  the air can dry out and damage the print head, 80% of problems come from this issue.

3.    Never continue to print with a cartridge that is empty as this can run the print heads dry and damage printer.

4.    Never expose inkjet cartridges to excessive cold, heat or humidity.

5.     Always store inkjet cartridges at room temperature.

6.    Never leave cartridges in your car.

7.    Do not remove inkjet cartridges from their packaging until you are ready to install them into your printer. Prolonged exposure to the air can impact the performance of the cartridge.

8.     Always remove the protective clip, static tape and if present, the pull-off tag before inserting into the printer.

9.     Avoid touching the electrical components or metal strip of the cartridge. Oils in the skin can damage the cartridge.
